Since 1988, the Chai family have been part of Moshav Mevo Modi’im, made up of traditional Jewish families that immigrated to Israel in the 1970’s. The Moshav was founded by Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach Z”l in 1974, his original tunes and songs of prayer are being sung all over the world.

For over 25 years the Chai family have raised goats and the farm is now open to the public. The Chai Hands on Goat Farm Experience is suitable for all ages we offer goat milking and herding, cheese making and tasting, try your hand at spinning raw goat & sheeps wool and weaving, make olive oil & for little children art projects. We also have an interesting short walking tour to see the original “Carlebach Shul” and ancient ruins, an ancient olive and wine press as well as escape route from the Maccabee times.

Chai Farm has an air conditioned visitors center where one has a panoramic view of the farm. Cold and hot drinks and snacks available. The farm is fully wheel chair accessible.
